Vice President - Research & Development
Evan Davies is the Vice President of Research & Development of Downhole Technology LLC. For 15 years prior to Downhole, Evan was with Halliburton where he held numerous positions and worked on a variety of products including wireline imaging tools, instrumented drilling motors and rotary steerable tools. Prior to joining Halliburton, Evan spent more than 10 years working in a combination of wellsite engineering and research and development roles with Computalog. Evan holds an Engineering Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Systems and Control Systems with a specialization in Computer & Process Engineering from the University of Regina in Canada. Evan is a certified Professional Engineer in Alberta, Canada, and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Prior to joining Downhole, Evan accrued 7 U.S. patents and 16 international patent applications, all in logging and well drilling, downhole imaging and resistivity. In his current position, Evan has accumulated more than 50 patents and patent applications worldwide on behalf of Downhole Technology.
